- Vaginal bleeding When abortion happened within 3 months of pregnancy, the villi and decidua separated and sinus opened, so, the vaginal bleeding often occur in early abortion and the amount of bleeding is more. For the late abortion, the placenta has formed, and miscarriage is similar to the premature birth process, that the placenta discharges following delivery usually with small amount of bleeding.
- Abdominal pain In the beginning of early abortion, the vaginal bleed and blood gathered in the uterine cavity, especially blood clots, which stimulate uterine contractions. So, lower abdominal pain was persistent. For late abortion, paroxysmal uterine contractions firstly happened, then fetal and placenta discharge, so that the abdominal pain was happened before vaginal bleeding.
